Zenith Logistics, Inc. (A Verst Group Logistics company) was formed in 1998, after being awarded long-term contracts to operate grocery distribution facilities totaling almost 1 million square feet in Cincinnati, Ohio and Indianapolis, Indiana for the largest grocery retail chain in the country.Each location has a throughput of approximately 20M cases per year. Zenith Logistics in Indianapolis operates from a 425,000 square foot facility, where all orders are store-assembled via voice activation pick and shipped to over 140 stores stretching from Missouri to Michigan. Zenith Logistics in Cincinnati operates from two buildings comprising 430,000 square feet. The Cincinnati location assembles grocery orders for over 100 high volume stores located in the Cincinnati/Dayton, Ohio and Northern Kentucky markets. Zenith Logistics is also responsible for the transportation to these stores and utilizes over 250 pieces of road equipment to meet these needs. A facility is on-site to meet the ongoing maintenance requirements of the fleet.
Zenith has developed a culture with excellent labor relations. This has led to productivity increases, decreasing costs to our customer and improving overall satisfaction in the retail stores.
Zenith utilizes a technology, which has allowed the transition to real time inventory access through its voice command picks system, improving inventory accuracy and store service.
